Changing shop vac filters often is strongly recommended to increase the vac's performance and to help extend vacuum life as it protects the motor from harmful dust and debris. The fine dust filter fits RIDGID wet/dry shop vacs 3 Gal. to 4.5 Gal. and should only be used for dry pickup.
